ACCESS

<By Car> From Tokyo

  • Take Kanetsu Highway to Shibukawa Ikaho IC, and turn off towards Numata and Kusatsu. Turn right at Nakamura Crossing
  • Turn left at Gohara Crossing
  • Turn right at Atsuda Crossing
  • Turn right at Odo Crossing and travel along Kusatsu Kaido
  • Turn left at Kadoya and follow the signs until you reach Yakushi Onsen Hatago

<By Car> From Kusatsu Onsen

The entire journey should take you about 40 minutes. Take R292 towards Otsu. Take R145 and within 2-3 minutes, you should see Kusatsu Naganohara Station on your left. Turn right at Benten-bashi and take R406 that runs along the base of Sugao-to-ge (Sugao Mountain Pass) for around 20 minutes until you reach the onsen.

<By Car> From Shima Onsen

The entire journey should take you about 60 minutes. Take R353 to R145 and turn left at the Gohara traffic signal. Turn right at the Atsuda traffic signal. Take Kendo (Prefectural) R58 and turn right at the Oedo traffic signal. Take R406 for around 15 minutes until you reach the onsen.

<By Car> From Ikaho Onsen

The entire journey should take you about 60 minutes. Travel along Haruna-Kohan (Haruna Lake) and turn left at the Atsuda traffic signal. Take R406 for around 15 minutes until you reach the onsen.

<By Train(Express)>

Take Kusatsu from Ueno Station to Nakanojyo Station (120 minutes).

<By Train (Shinkansen)>

Take Joetsu Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Takasaki Station. Change trains and take the Kusatsu Express to Nakanojyo Station.

<Bus from Nakanojyo Station>

Yakushi Onsen Hatago organizes two free shuttle transfers to and from Nakanojo Station every day. Please call ahead to reserve a place on the bus at least two day before the day of your intended arrival.
